Vision Inspection System
Real Time Dimension Monitoring
Hermary scanners are used in variety of vision inspection systems to ensure quality control in high speed manufacturing. Stringent quality control guidelines demand that every part be inspected.
Benefits go beyond identifying and rejecting faulty parts; process dimensions can be monitored and the process adjusted to eliminate the production of defects before they occur. Improved quality control allows parts to be made to tighter tolerances with less wasted material.
Scanners can be used to confirm absolute dimensions (size control solution) or check that a manufacturing operation is correctly applied.
“We deal with thousandths of an inch of recovery in the sawmills, so if they miss manufacture by 0.01 of an inch when they cut a million board feet in a shift, that quickly adds up to many thousands if not millions of dollars over time.”
